New boy at RS
Rapidly increasing use of RS boats by sailing schools, sailing clubs and holiday centres has led us to create a new Corporate Support role at LDC Racing Sailboats. Dan Jaspers joined us in September and he will provide a dedicated point of contact for you as part of our aim to provide even better service. As an RYA Coach and Outdoor Education Teacher Dan has the background knowledge to help and support our growing Corporate Market.

New RS Sailing Academy proposal
Our idea is to create a national network of high quality sailing schools working in partnership with RS Racing, giving promotional and operational benefits for both.
  • Preferential pricing – Extra discounts on current volume price list.
  • Premium service support – Dedicated contact at RS and overnight parts.
  • Staff training in specific boats with help in maintenance and repair of Polyethylene boats.
  • Extensive promotional opportunities – pages on the RSsailing.com website.
  • Rs Tera Dealership Opportunity – Purchase and stock or sign up new customers and receive up to 25% commission to re-invest in the Centre.

All feedback is gratefully appreciated. Contact Dan for more details.

New RS Tera
The RS Tera, joined the RS stable this summer and was displayed with the other RS models for the first time at the Southampton Boat Show.

The RS Tera was designed for today’s young sailors, to take them from their first time afloat through to Junior expert, whilst making the experience fun. This is what makes the RS Tera special:

  • Stable enough for complete novices
  • Modern looks and exciting performance to keep youngsters hooked
  • Self draining cockpit for capsize training – sit in or sit on cockpit design
  • Rig options to suit all levels
  • Perfect for one child – big enough for two children’s first steps
  • Highly durable Comptec PE3 polyethylene construction
  • The lightest PE hull at only 35kg
  • Rowing option for windless days
  • From under £1000 ready to sail – fleet discounts available

The RS Tera has been an instant success with hundreds sold already. Many sailing institutions have tested and introduced Tera fleets. Phrases such as “this decision is a no-brainer” have even been heard!

If you would like to know more about the RS Tera, arrange for a demo or obtain a quotation, please contact Dan. Year one, launch prices end on December 31st, so act quickly to take advantage!

High Profile centres choose RS
Many of the Uk’s busiest sailing centres have now chosen RS boats, including Portsmouth Outdoor Centre, Southwest Lakes Trust, Rockley Watersports and the United Kingdom Sailing Academy (UKSA). All these organisations committed a great deal of time and resources to developing their RS Fleets with complete overhaul of all kit in some cases. We are looking forward to working with them and maintaining a strong relationship.

Fun in the Sun for the RS500
If you are starting to get tired of the nights drawing in and the perfect sailing days becoming few and far between at this time of year, you may have reached for the holiday brochures.
If so, then you may find yourself going to one of the popular Sailing resorts run by the major holiday providers. Sunsail has just ordered a number of the all new RS500 for its resorts and other leading companies are keen. Demand for this boat is impressive, with the racing calendar for next year on the cards and youngsters and adults alike clambering for a go in one. This is your opportunity to try one and get a taste. At under £5000 ready to sail the RS500 offers exceptional value.

Another successful year for the RS Feva and RS Vision
2006 has provided continued success for our award winning double-act of RS Feva and RS Vision, with sales rocketing and awareness spreading about the features and benefits of these versatile dinghies. Key reasons for their growing popularity are:

Feva
  • Fun for all - adults on their own, 2 youngsters or a parent and a child.
  • Unrivalled performance
  • Development from novice to racer
  • User friendly rig options and upgrades
  • Value – more features, better quality.

Vision

  • Single line reefing system, which can be applied in under a minute.
  • Stability and space – Maximum waterline beam
  • Fully self draining cockpit – great for capsize recovery
  • Big enough for an Instructor and 3 students
  • Comptec Polyethylene construction – Less expensive and more durable than GRP Boats
