Job Title: RS Sailing Direct Sales Executive
Location: Based at our Romsey headquarters, with plenty of travel throughout the United Kingdom
Salary: £25,000 per year basic, plus commission and performance bonus

We are looking for a motivated and knowledgeable Direct Sales Executive to help maintain and build up our retail sales and connect more sailors with RS boats. If you have a solid understanding of sailing, can build trust with customers, and want to contribute to the growth of a respected brand, this could be the right opportunity for you. As part of the RS team, you will have the chance to stay closely connected to the sport, enjoy staff discounts on boats, and attend key events that keep you at the heart of the sailing community.
What You Will Be Doing
- Promoting and selling our award-winning range of dinghies and small boats directly to customers
- Building lasting relationships with individual sailors and families, as well as supporting club members looking to upgrade or purchase their own boats
- Acting as a friendly and knowledgeable representative of RS Sailing at events, open days and boat shows
- Guiding customers through every step of their journey, from the first enquiry through to the handover of their new boat, ensuring their experience is enjoyable and memorable
- Using your knowledge to help grow our loyal customer base and welcome new people into the RS Sailing community
About You
- Positive, professional, and committed to delivering excellent service
- A confident communicator who enjoys meeting new people and building trust
- Organised and detail-focused, able to manage several customer enquiries and sales opportunities at the same time
- Comfortable traveller and willing to work some weekends to support events and shows
- Confident using digital tools and systems to manage customer records and support your sales activity
It Would Be an Advantage If You Have
- Active dinghy sailing experience or a background in instructing, racing, or club sailing
- An understanding of the motivations and needs of individual customers when choosing a boat
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, or the marine industry
