Social Programme at the RS Games 2026

The RS Games 2026 is far more than a sailing event. With 12 classes, 13 championships, and a packed programme of legendary RS parties, it’s the ultimate celebration of RS Sailing.

And that’s not all. The RS Games takes place within the world-famous Travemünder Woche in Germany, 16-26 July, making it a festival within a festival. Alongside world-class racing, sailors can enjoy live music, food, entertainment, and a vibrant international atmosphere.

So what’s on? 

RS Social Programme

There’s something ‘RS’ happening on almost every night of the RS Games, giving sailors plenty of opportunities to relax, celebrate, and connect off the water.

Opening Ceremonies

Each racing class begins with its own Opening Ceremony, where teams parade through the streets carrying their national flags before gathering for speeches, drinks, and celebrations.

 VIP Evenings

Every class* gets an RS exclusive evening aboard the Passat – the magnificent four-masted tall ship moored in the heart of Travemünde. Sailors can enjoy drinks, canapés, and spectacular waterfront views in one of the festival’s most iconic settings.

*RS Venture Connect sailors will have their VIP night at the fully accessible SVH Hall during the Lübeck Championship Evening. RS Tera sailors will instead enjoy a beach party at Priwall, complete with food, drinks, games, and plenty of fun.

The Big RS Party Nights

The entire RS community comes together for two huge party nights during the Games:

RS Party Night #1
Sunday 19 July | 7:00pm
Located in the exclusive area beside the Brügmanngarten Stage, featuring live music from Second Take.

RS Party Night #2
Saturday 25 July | 7:00pm
Held at the RS Hub on Priwall Beach, with DJ-Music 4all providing the soundtrack.
Fancy Dress encouraged: Hawaiian Shirts! (Pack your wildest party shirt for the WORST dressed competition)

Prize-Giving Celebrations

Every championship concludes with their prize-giving evenings, providing the perfect opportunity to celebrate achievements and round off a fantastic week of racing.
