RS Quest
A modern family or training dinghy with features that move the game forward. Big enough for an instructor and 2 or 3 pupils – perfect for Mum or Dad and youngsters – small enough to handle easily ashore and afloat. Inspired by the UK Sea Cadets to replace their aging fleet, the RS Quest has rapidly become the best-selling dinghy of its type worldwide. Durable rotomoulded polyethylene construction – space and stability – reefing, spinnaker, stowage and a host of other options. It’s not easy to make it all work but our development team have nailed it on this boat.

WHAT THE SAILORS ARE SAYING…

The RS Quest provides a very stable environment for both youth and adults taking up sailing, as well as those wishing to move on to a more intermediate level, such as spinnaker handling. The RS Quest does all this very well in various wind conditions without becoming too much to handle. Instead, it keeps sailors engaged and does not overwhelm them while they are still gaining the confidence they need in the initial stages of experience afloat. The RS Quest is an ideal solution to sail training venues’ constant dilemma regarding which boat to choose for an entry-level multi-person teaching platform. I am excited by the RS Quest from its use in club-based and national sail training programmes worldwide.

Dan Jaspers

Training and Development Manager, World Sailing

It’s been an incredible opportunity for the young people we support to share in the testing and refinement of the RS Quest and, as we roll it out across Sea Cadets, for the charity to see even more young people inspired to take to the water.
Martin Coles

CEO, Sea Cadets

The RS Quest is just a fantastic workhorse across our club and high school programs and a ton of fun to boot!! It is reliable, tough and effective – the ‘Ute’ of our activities!”

Chris Stannage

President of Hunters Hill, Australia

She had an amazing time and now she’s fully addicted to sailing. That’s our goal…inspire to enjoy the sport for a lifetime!
Sea Masters Academy

Panama

In twenty eight years of teaching sailing and running RYA Centres, the RS Quest is the best all round training dinghy that I have ever sailed, taught in or purchased. An absolute must for any training centre.
