NEW RS – IMPORTANT COLLECTION INFORMATION

Firstly welcome to the RS family, nothing can beat that new boat feeling and we’re so excited for you to enjoy your new RS on the water! We’ve created a page to try and help make your new boat ownership smooth sailing! We have popped this information together to try and make collecting your new RS as smooth as possible. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with the team if you’ve got any worries or questions.

How do I arrange to collect my boat?

Collections are normally possible on Monday to Thursday between 09:00 and 16:00, and Fridays between 09:00 and 15:00. To avoid inconvenient delays, please arrange a collection time with us before arrival.

All manuals and guides for rigging RS boats can be found online at https://www.rssailing.com/manuals-guides/. We no longer provide paper manuals/guides. We can offer a service of pre rigging the boat, there is a small cost associated with this. Please let the operations team know prior to collection if you would like to arrange this.

Upon arrival, please register at the RS Sailing Store reception where you will be met by a member of staff who will conduct the hand-over of your boat.

My purchase involves a part exchange. What do I need to do?

If your purchase involves a part exchange, please make sure you have filled out the Part Exchange Form. This helps us give an accurate valuation on your current boat, ensure any remedial work required, or equipment needing repair/replacement is disclosed on the form so that the initial valuation is as accurate as possible. Please note this value is not confirmed until the boat has been inspected during your handover.

Do I need marine insurance for my new RS?

We strongly advise you to arrange insurance prior to collection. If you require assistance, please give us a call.

I can’t get to RS Sailing personally. Can someone deliver my boat to me?

If it is not possible for you to collect your new boat personally, we can arrange for it to be delivered. Please call Beth on 01794 526 770 or contact by email at natalie@rssailing.com, who will be able to provide you with the best quote from our approved contractors.

I want to pick up my boat myself, but can’t make it to RS for a few weeks. Can I store my boat at RS Sailing?

As space is restricted at our Romsey premises, we are unable to store uncollected boats. Please note that if you do not collect your boat within one week of completion, we will either charge for storage at the rate of £50.00 per week (possibly at another location), or we reserve the right to reallocate the boat to another customer. This would result in your order being re-scheduled and a possible delay equivalent to the current lead time for a new order.
