An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the RS Sales Team at the Worlds’ Largest Dinghy Manufacturer. Our product range includes award winning sailboats that are perfect for educational and fleet purposes and we require an experienced sail trainer to build on our current success in this sector.
Qualified to at least RYA SI or preferably Coach Assessor level with relevant experience, the likely candidate will be a keen dinghy sailor with an appreciation of all aspects of sail training. Reporting straight to the Sales Director you will progress all activity which facilitates supply of RS dinghies to commercial sailing centres, sailing clubs and other institutions. A keen involvement in the RYA schemes and projects will be pivotal to this. A well-presented and highly self-motivated character with an eye for detail will create lasting relationships with the key industry individuals and allow personal achievement in the sailboat and sail training environment. A pro-active and energetic attitude to meeting people and gathering contacts is critical to making a mark in this sector.
Based from our Romsey headquarters, the role will involve frequent visits to venues across the UK to present the boats and discuss specifications required by individual centres so a flexibility to travel and work a significant proportion of weekends is essential. Additionally office based activity to create the opportunities and maintain a good level of noise within the industry feeds opportunity. All the equipment to excel will be provided, including bespoke training, extensive shore and water based equipment, a range of demonstration boats and IT / comms tools to enable you to work effectively in the field.
