The International RS Venture Connect class is pleased to announce that UK-based Watersports clothing and apparel specialists Rooster have agreed to a new and exciting partnership.
Rooster has a long-established relationship with RS Sailing, having been a key partner of many racing events run by RS classes and RS Sailing. Through this event-based support, Rooster has become the sailing kit provider of choice for many RS sailboat sailors.
Both the RS Venture Connect class and Rooster strive to find innovative solutions to improve the experience had by the everyday sailor as well as elite athletes. Both organisations aim to bring sailing to an enjoyable and accessible level for all involved. With this in mind, Rooster is joining forces with the RS Venture Connect Class as its new Clothing and Apparel partner. As part of this partnership, Rooster will make a range of customised clothing and apparel available to all those involved with RS Venture Connect activity globally, be they sailors, coaches, program leaders or families, carers and team supporters. Rooster will also be ensuring that class-appointed personnel at events have access to a range of technical clothing and apparel that will help them to be performing their duties to the very highest levels, whatever the weather may throw at them.
This is what the Rooster team had to say about this partnership: “The RS Venture Connect class and the opportunities that go with it resonate with our ethos to increase inclusivity in watersports, and it is great to be a part of. As a brand, we aim to ‘inspire, educate and facilitate the access to the freedom of getting out on the water’, and through the partnership with RS on the Venture Connect class, we hope to solidify this message. We are looking forward to working with the class to make sure that they not only have access to the correct clothing to be comfortable on and off the water but also have the support to get out and enjoy sailing at its best.”
Dan Jaspers, head of International Sales and Business Development at RS Sailing, who currently manages the RS Venture Connect class, said of the news: “Some organisations in the marine industry just seem to ‘get it’ and Rooster is one of those. The RS Venture Connect class is the youngest of the three current Paralympic Sailboat Classes, and it has lots to do if it is to increase the level of engagement it has around the world. Rooster understands this and is prepared to work with the class to drive awareness of inclusive sailing activity internationally.I look forward to working with Rooster in doing amazing things together as we roll out an ambitious program of events for the RS Venture Connect Class.”
