World Sailing is the world governing body for the sport of sailing recognised by the International Olympic Committee and the International Paralympic Committee. RS Sailing is committed to growing international competitive sailing and accreditation from World Sailing supports this initiative.
RS Aero
The RS Aero is a World Sailing recognised class and achieved the highest overall score in the Olympic One-Person Events (2024 and beyond) Evaluation Report. Weighing only 33kg, it’s super light with fantastic performance. The racing scene is global with the RS Aero International Class Association hosting a wealth of events from local nationals to world championships.
The RS500‘s fast and exciting performance has made it a popular choice among the European racing circuit. The growing RS500 International Class Association hosts world championships in fabulous venues every year, with youth and adult age ranges, earning recognition as a World Sailing Class Association.
RS21
The RS21 has revolutionised one-design keelboat racing and continues to grow year-on-year with recognition from World Sailing. What makes it different? Success on the racecourse is determined by the skill and strategy of the crew rather than the difference in equipment. In 2023, the World Championship had a record-breaking entry with 55 boats intensifying the competition. It was also the first sailing event since London 2012 that was ISO 20121 Certified. The RS Tera Sport is not only a World Sailing Class Association but also a junior pathway RYA Recognised Class supported by British Youth Sailing. The RS Tera International Class Association has a variety of training programs as well as competitions both at home and abroad. These stamps of recognition are welcomed by RS Sailing to help support the growth of youth sailing.
The RS Feva is the fastest growing double-handed youth class internationally. The RS Feva XL is a Recognised Class by World Sailing and as well as RYA British Youth Sailing Junior Class. Competitions are held all around the globe by the RS Feva International Class Association.
