“Party in the city where the heat is on… We’re goin’ to Miami!”
Get ready for RS Fest Miami, the first EVER major multi-class RS Sailing event in North America. The three-day regatta is a celebration of RS Sailing fleets – hosted in tropical Miami, Florida! Racing for the regatta will be held Saturday March 30th to Monday April 1st, with more potential activities in the days leading up to the event.
The RS Aero, RS Tera, RS Feva, RS Venture and RS21 classes are invited to join the flagship event for a long weekend of exciting racing. There will also be an Open RS Class for boats of all shapes and sizes that want to come along and join in the fun. In true RS Sailing style, the social events off the water promise to be as fun as the racing itself!
Coconut Grove Sailing Club (CGSC) will be hosting RS Fest Miami. Known for presenting top-level international regattas, the club is a natural fit for this inaugural event to commemorate the sport we love. RS Fest Miami will be run by sailors, for sailors.
Known as “Miami’s Original Neighborhood” Coconut Grove is a on the Southwest side of Miami, just a stone’s throw from the excitement of Downtown Miami. CGSC is located right in the heart of ‘the Grove’ with easy access to Biscayne Bay, a body of water partially protected from the Atlantic Ocean by Key Biscayne. Boat storage and launching will be out of the nearby Regatta Park, a spacious facility built by the city to host major international regattas.
March is an ideal time to sail in Miami with average windspeed of 10-15 knots and matching air/water temperatures of 26°C. RS Sailing invites sailors from around the world to celebrate the sport.
In the RS Aero Fleet, rig sizes 5, 6 ,7 and 9 will be racing. RS Teras will feature the Sport and Pro classes. The RS Feva class is open to all age groups as is the RS Venture. There will also be hotly contested, one design racing in our latest keelboat – the RS21! You can find the full Notice of Race here.

We are incredibly excited that CGSC is able to host what is going to be an celebration of sailing with all the elements of fun on and off the water.”
