We are pleased to announce a new partnership with the Asian Sailing Federation. The Asian Sailing Federation (ASAF) is the Continental Association for Sailing in Asia and an Affiliate Member of World Sailing.
The new partnership has been formed with a clear outcome; RS Sailing and ASAF will work with ASAF members and stakeholders to encourage the growth of sailing in the region. This work will be undertaken at both ends of the participation spectrum, from grassroot experiences right through to international competitions.
With the largest number of World Sailing Classes of any single small sailboat manufacturer, we will provide ASAF members with expertise from many years of developing sail training programs and supporting world class events. We will be working with ASAF to ensure their members enjoy and benefit from access to the RS Feva, a double-handed youth class, the RS Aero, an internationally renowned single-handed sailboat, and the RS21, the newly appointed World Sailing keelboat class.
Malav Shroff, ASAF President, commented, “ASAF is delighted to collaborate with RS Sailing and this partnership will augur well for promoting and developing sailing events in the Asian Region.”
Dan Jaspers, International Business Development at RS Sailing, commented “The objectives of ASAF, in terms of growing the sport of sailing in Asia, align with RS Sailing’s own business strategy. Having experienced unprecedented growth in this region over the last few years, we see the synergy between what ASAF is doing and what RS Sailing can do to help ASAF fulfil its goals on behalf of its members as an exciting opportunity to affect change via a development-oriented working relationship between both organisations. We are looking forward to working closely with ASAF and all its members in Asia over the coming years.”
We are inspired by this new partnership with the Asian Sailing Federation and we are looking forward to helping support the continued growth of sailing in Asia.
