Next weekend (5-6th October) the 57th edition of the Primus Inter Pares will kick off in the Netherlands. This event is recognised as the pinnacle of the year’s dinghy sailing achievements, which will hail the ‘Champion of Champions’. For the first time in the history of the pretentious Primus Inter Pares, this year a youth edition will race in RS Aeros.
The event is invitation only by the Dutch federation. Sailors who have delivered an exceptional performance in the Netherlands and abroad last season are invited, including all the youth National Champions from all youth fleets. Currently 11 champions are registered and will be battling it out at the very first edition of the Youth PIP for the prize of prizes in Loosdrecht. Close and competitive racing is guaranteed and it’s all to play for!
The RS Aero has been chosen by the organization for this event, as it is believed to be the best boat for the youths to compete in. The Dutch dealer Aquavitesse, together with RS sailing, provided the boats for the youths to sail in and these will be for sale after the event.
