The award-winning RS Toura makes its Canadian show debut at the Toronto Boat Show, 19th – 28th January, 2024.
The Toronto Boat Show is the largest indoor boat show in North America and features a wide range of exhibitors, boats, products and seminars – as well as the world’s largest indoor lake for boaters!
Named ‘Best Dinghy’ 2024 by Sailing World Magazine’s Boat of the Year Awards, the RS Toura is modern dinghy with plenty of space, stability and durability. It’s an ideal for Canada’s Cottage Country holidaymakers who will be attending the show looking to upgrade their lake house dinghies.
“This is a fantastic learn-to-sail boat because it checks so many boxes,” said Sailing World Judge, Mike Ingham. “It sails amazingly well, can bounce off a dock or be dragged up a beach, and can fit a lot of people. What really strikes me is how stable and spacious it is, but somehow it performs so much better than I expected. When it comes to innovation, this boat moves the needle for me, no question about it.”
The RS Toura is on display with Fogh Marine, a long-time distributor of RS Sailing. They are exhibiting in Booth 1339 next to the Sailors Hub and Kids Zone.
Monohulls not your thing? The RS CAT range will also be on display at the Toronto Boat Show for the first time. The RS CAT 14 and RS CAT 16 are simple to rig and easy to sail. They are packed full of modern features making ownership and boat handling an absolute breeze.
Rob Lytle, Fogh Marine Manager and CYA-Certified Dinghy Instructor Evaluator, is an owner of a RS CAT16 and is on the booth for tips and advice. “I’ve had the RS CAT16 at my summer cottage for several years now and it’s a great boat to take my whole family out on the water.” Rob explains: “It’s ideal in higher winds because of the great stability. Yet, at the same time, it’s slightly higher performance than some of the other catamarans on the market. If you go out in lighter air – which we have a lot of the time in Cottage Country – you still get really great performance out of it.”
RS Sailing representatives are also at the Fogh Marine booth during the show. International Business Developer for North America Todd Riccardi is available on the first weekend, the 19th – 21st, and Commercial Director Michiel Geerling is there on the second weekend, 27th – 28th. You can also talk all things RS Sailing with Muskoka Lake dealer, Quiet Waters Sail Boats, exhibiting in Booth 1431.
Want to see an RS Zest? Ontario Sailing, the governing body for Ontario, has one on display at Booth 1440. They use the RS Zest in their Mainsail Program which provides support to member organizations looking to start sailing schools and get Learn to Sail programs off the dock. The RS Zest is a hit with training centres and families alike and is the perfect entry-level dinghy for kids and adults.
The Toronto Boat Show takes place 19th – 28th January at the Enercare Centre, Exhibition Place. To purchase tickets head to the Toronto Boat Show Ticket Page and don’t forget that kids aged 16 and under can attend for FREE!
