The 2019 RS Aero European Championships will take place in Lake Garda with the fleet entered at more than 100 boats.
From the 17th of august, the RS Aero’s will descend into one of the most iconic sailing venues in the world Lake Garda, Italy. With this years’ entry hitting 100 boats it is set to create some tight and exciting racing, and we can’t wait.
With the event hosted in Fraglia Vela Malcesine, Garda, Italy you know you are going get two things, stunning views and great sailing. And with the 2019 World Championships at the end of the year in Australia, this is the perfect excuse to get some practice in before all that kicks off.
Championship racing will be five days, Monday 19th – Friday 23rd August 2019. The 17th & 18th will be for registration, measurement, practising and socialising. With one or two early starts scheduled during hte week, racing in the stronger morning breeze that descends from the mountains will add some epic conditions for the scheduled racing.
Daily pasta parties will be included after racing, with daily awards and top-tips from the day’s leaders in each fleet. All situated in FV Malcesine’s patio bar, looking across the lake to the towering cliffs opposite – not to be missed. In addition to the usual warming opening ceremony and the final closing ceremony, FV Malcesine will lay on a mid-week championship dinner from their exquisite premises.
