The RS Aero North American Championship is headed to Tampa, Florida. Racing will run from Friday May 20th through Sunday May 22nd, with a race clinic and practice day on May 19th. RS Aero 5, 6, 7, and 8 rigs will be attending the event, with over thirty boats already registered.
Davis Island Yacht Club will be hosting the event, offering their team of experienced and friendly volunteers with a passion for sailing. Known for its regular sea breeze present from May through until November; sailors can expect champagne conditions of 8-15 knots on any given day. The North American Championships also serve as a great warm-up event for the RS Aero World Championship in late June at the Columbia Gorge in Oregon.
Sailors of all ages from across North America will be making their way to Davis Island. Competitors from California to New York to Ontario, and everywhere in between will be ready for racing. The RS Aero 7 rig currently boasts the most the most entries followed by the 9s and 5s.
