It was an emotional pack down at the end of the 2020 RYA Dinghy Show for the RS Team. After 25 years of carrying boats sideways out of the fire exits, it was the last time we would do it underneath the iconic stained glass window at Alexandra Palace. Thank you to everyone who headed to the RS stand for a chat, your enthusiasm for the season ahead was awesome and we are now buzzing for the summer. Congratulations to the RYA for hosting another successful show.
If you were speaking to the team about a new RS and want to find out more after the show, please do not hesitate to get in touch. With part-ex opportunities, finance options and the whole 2020 season ahead of you, there has never been a better time to bag a new RS. We’ve heard that a few of you were “isolated” and couldn’t make it down to Ally Pally, so we’ve extended our boat show offer to the end of the week.
Our vibrant classes have calendars packed full of events for you to come and be a part of in 2020. From training with expert coaches, local travellers to international regattas, there’s something for everyone. Head to your RS Class Association website to find out more.
If the XC90 on our stand was as tempting as the RS Aero on its roof, you need to find out more about the Volvo RS Affinity scheme. Volvo Cars support of British sailing and their partnership with RS Sailing means our RS Association members and RS boat owners can benefit from this hugely valuable offer; as well as servicing, finance and accessory deals at your local Volvo Retailer. The offer is straightforward: a generous discount for RS Association members and RS owners on your choice of new Volvo, helping to make it a highly cost-effective purchase. This comes on top of a retailer discount, an attractive range of finance packages and a variety of accessories and options. Free metallic paint is even thrown in. So shiny.
For those of you who came to the stand to find out about spares and parts, you need to check out the RS Sailing Store. The parts team are experts in all things RS, so if you can’t find it on the website, please don’t hesitate to give us a call.
It’s the end of an era after 25 years of the RYA Dinghy Show at Alexandra Palace. It’s an iconic venue and we’ve made some memories over the years but we are excited about the future and to see our amazing industry push forward.
An end to the final ever RYA Dinghy Show at Alexandra Palace
